1. Are a wide variety of classes, days and times offered?
Many studios, due to limited space, focus only on dance, or on specific age groups and abilities.
At CDMA, we offer not only instruction in dance, but also theater, voice music and fitness. We offer professional group and private instruction for all ages and abilities on multiple days and times, ensuring that you will find the correct class on a day and time that works for you. CDMA has the most inclusive and diverse schedule of children’s classes in multiple disciplines on the Central Coast.
2. What type of dance floor is used?
Dance is a very physical activity requiring a lot of jumping, which can put stress on bones and joints and pressure on the knees and back. The best way to prevent against potential injury is by dancing on a professional “floating floor.”
At CDMA, all of our studios are equipped with floating dance floors covered with top-of-the-line vinyl or wood surfaces which reduces the risk of dancer injury and fatigue.
3. What is the size of the class?
If a dance class has fewer students, each child receives more personalized attention and it allows the teacher to make sure each student understands the concepts and instructions. A smaller class also ensures that students do not develop bad habits or improper technique.
At CDMA, students receive professional instruction in a caring, supportive and non-competitive environment with limited class sizes. Many classes have teacher assistants to further reduce the teacher to student ratio.
4. Can I get immediate assistance and customer service?
In many studios the teacher or the studio owner conducts classes and does the administration or the studio offers limited office hours, resulting in poor customer service.
At CDMA, our office manager or friendly staff is available during all business hours, so you can get immediate assistance or have important questions answered as the need arises. Customer service is a top priority for us, ensuring a good experience for you!
4. Is the studio “parent friendly?”
Many studios are set up to meet the needs of the students, yet do not take into consideration the needs or wants of the parents.
At CDMA we value parent involvement and have made our academy a comfortable gathering place for parents as well as students. We have several comfortable lounges for relaxing, large viewing windows and closed circuit T.V.’s for watching classes, free WiFI, and a fitness room equipped with closed circuit T.V.’s so, for a small monthly fee, you can work-out while you watch your child enjoy class!
